Umida Yuldosheva
Umida Yuldosheva is the founder and director of the “Teach for Uzbekistan” organization, a passionate advocate for social justice and educational development.
She graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute, is a John Smith Program Scholar, a participant in the U.S. State Department's IVLP program — one of the most prestigious professional exchange initiatives — and holds a PhD in sociology with a focus on social entrepreneurship.
Umida has gained extensive experience in various fields: she worked as a researcher at the Chr. Michelsen Institute in Norway, has teaching experience, and successfully managed environmental and social aspects (ESM) in World Bank projects and non-profit organizations.
Currently, Umida Yuldosheva leads “Teach for Uzbekistan,” aiming to build a community of young people committed to the future of their country and prepared to contribute to the development of education and society. Her mission is to nurture a new generation of leaders who will drive progress and prosperity.
Pavel Fedoseev
Pavel Fedoseev is the Head of Training at Teach For Uzbekistan. His primary responsibility is to design programs aimed at the professional growth of teachers, providing them with support and preparing them for effective work in schools located in socially vulnerable areas of Uzbekistan.
Pavel holds a PhD in Chemistry from KU Leuven (Belgium) and an international PGCE certificate from the University of Leicester (UK). He has experience in teaching and curriculum development across various countries, including Russia, Canada, and Uzbekistan.
Pavel's work is grounded in a humanistic approach to education, which helps teachers cultivate independence, flexibility, and critical thinking. His programs focus on enhancing pedagogical competencies essential for implementing modern educational practices.
Beyond his professional activities, Pavel strives to foster a warm and supportive atmosphere in educational communities. He believes that teacher development is not only about knowledge and skills but also about inspiration, mutual support, and confidence in their abilities.
