Teach For Uzbekistan is a nonprofit organization that develops future leaders through education. We recruit young people with strong leadership potential and place them in schools, where they work alongside teachers and local communities to create broader opportunities for children.
Our mission is to expand access to quality education and open pathways to wider life opportunities for students, while shaping a new generation of leaders who contribute to positive social change. Through hands-on classroom experience, participants gain the knowledge, skills, and sense of responsibility needed to make an impact not only in schools, but in society as a whole. We believe education is the most powerful starting point for lasting change, and we work together to turn that belief into action.
Our Fellows are graduates of local and international universities, as well as professionals from diverse backgrounds, who are ready to commit to teaching in underserved regions for two years. Throughout the program, Fellows receive rigorous pedagogical training, ongoing mentorship, and the support of a collaborative community that fosters both personal and professional growth.

In the United States, Wendy Kopp, and in the United Kingdom, Brett Wigdortz arrived at the same conclusion: every child deserves quality education, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Their initiatives grew into the national movements Teach For America and Teach First, which later came together and formed Teach For All.

Education and Experience: — graduate of Tashkent Financial Institute; — John Smith Trust (UK) Fellow; — participant of the International Visitor Leadership Program (USA); — PhD candidate in Sociology, with a specialization in social entrepreneurship; — researcher at the Chr. Michelsen Institute (Norway); — expert on a World Bank project. The Founder of Teach For Uzbekistan believes that real change begins with people who have empathy, courage, and the determination to act. Her mission is to expand opportunities for children in regions across Uzbekistan and to nurture a new generation of leaders who will contribute to the country’s development through education and social initiatives.
