Teach For Uzbekistan

Assessment Center

Stage 2 of selection: a few hours in person, in Tashkent or in the regions.

What it is

The Assessment Center is the second stage of selection. It is held in person, in Tashkent and in the regions, at points across the application window, and runs a few hours.

What we look at

Through group activities and real-world simulations, we assess intellectual depth, emotional intelligence, collaboration, moral reasoning, and teaching potential — how you think, feel, and act under real conditions, not just what you say about yourself.

What to expect on the day

  • Group activities with other candidates
  • Real-world simulations
  • A few hours in total

How to prepare

  • Think of concrete examples of when you took responsibility, led others, or kept going when things were hard — we ask about them.
  • Be ready to say why you want to teach in the regions, and why now.
  • At the Assessment Center, be yourself: we look at how you think, cooperate and act, not at rehearsed answers.
  • Keep your phone number and e-mail up to date, so the interview call reaches you.
