Teach For Uzbekistan

Mission, vision and values

Vision

A society where every child grows into a happy, resilient, lifelong learner — equipped not only with academic knowledge, but with strong values, empathy, and the skills to thrive in a changing world.

Mission

To drive systemic educational reform by recruiting, training, and supporting exceptional leaders who work alongside schools, communities, and policymakers to close gaps in education and opportunity.

Our belief

We unite leaders who don’t wait for change — they create it. Who build their future with intention and confidence. Who are ready to ignite, inspire, and grow the next generation of leaders. Who want to spark real change in education, and beyond.

Our values

  • Perseverance

Together, we overcome challenges and see things through.

  • Growth

We grow every day by trying new things and supporting one another.

  • Inclusivity

We build relationships based on respect, the value of every individual, and genuine connection.

  • Leadership

We take responsibility and act, while staying open and accessible.

Our operating principles

  • Full alignment of every educational initiative with national standards and Ministry priorities
  • Respect for institutional frameworks and decision-making channels
  • Transparency in operational and educational reporting
  • A program designed to complement, not replace, the state education system
  • Openness to shared learning and the joint development of new approaches

Strategy 2030

TFU’s first cohort of Alumni graduated in June 2026 — the program’s first full two-year cycle. We are planning to expand to two more regions (Fergana and Namangan) by the end of 2027, and to place Fellows in every region of Uzbekistan by 2030.
